• This trek finds us in the mid-east of Nepal, on the foothills of the Everest where we can experience the Sherpa culture. On our way we cross the Jiri sherpa Village, Changma ( Bhunder) , Goli Gompa, Peky Peak (4100m.) and Chailsa where the Tibetan Refugee camp is located. Further on, we pass Numbur Himal base camp from where we get a magnificent view of Homi Cho 4561m.(Dhudkunda Lake) which is regarded as a holy Lake. This trek leads us to Chiwang Monastery where Mani Rimdu (Lama Dance with Mask) takes place on a full moon night in November and Junbesi Monastery where Dumji (another Lama Dance) takes place on a full moon night in April/May. This is a non-tourist area. We get much information about the way of living of the Sherpa through this trek.
