Manaslu is the 8th highest peak in the world, located in Mansiri Himal, a part of Nepalese Himalayas.It is the highest peak in the lamjung district and is located forty miles east of Annapurna, the worlds 10th highest mountain. At the start of Gorkha (Old Capital Royal) we have to cross-large Gurung village before joining, the foot of Larkya (5213m) where there are villages with the Tibetan settlement. In this area we need spcial permit for trekking.This is a 20 days trek in which a trekker has to walk for 11 days.
Day 01.
Departure from own country.
Day 02.
Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 03.
Visit Pasupathinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath. Evening briefing about trek.
Day 04.
Kathmandu / Gorkha by bus. And jeep to Barpak (1900m). Stiff rise among fields in terraces until Barpak, large Gurung village.
Day 05.
Barpak / Laprak (2300m). Climb (2900m) forests of rhododendron are seen on Buddha Peak (6672m). 5h 30min.
Day 06.
Laprak / Kholabensi (950m). Seen splendid on Ganesh Himal and the valley of Machha Khola, passage E the river on a bridge and camping in the canyon of Buri Gandaki. 6h.
Day 07.
Kholabensi / Jagat (1350m). Assemble progressive along the first throats 6h.
Day 08.
Jagat / Pio (1750m). Large conifers with the perfectly right barrel appears. Centaurs in balcony tail in the cliff 6h.
Day 09.
Pio / Ghap (2100m). Walk progression in throats. First Tibetans villages the landscape and the population and have exchanges completely. 6h.
Day 10.
Ghap / Lho (2960m). Go up through forests of spruces. The itineraries will meet Bhotias, of origin Tibetan.
Day 11.
Lho / Sama Gompa (3510m). Go up to a glacial plate, which forms a circus with the foot of Himalchuli (7650m), its importance refugee camp of Tibetans, have installed since 1950A.D.
Day 12.
Day of rest and exploration of the village and the Manaslu Base Camp 4h.
Day 13.
Sama Gompa / Yak Kharka (4410m). Cross Samdo, located under the face of the Pang Chuli (6350m) - rise at a sheep-fold 6h.
Day 14.
Yak Kharka / Larkya- la (5213m) and Bimtang (3640m). Departure early in the morning for a very progressive rise. Climb at the top (5213m) . Panorama on the top of Larkya we can see Larkya Himal, and of the Cheo Kang Guru. One day difficult 8h.
Day 15.
Bimtang / Dharapani (1900m). Descent and sights on Ngadi, Himalchuli and Phungi. Return to the populated forest of monkeys' langurs. 6h30.
Day 16.
Dharapani to Beshishar by jeep
Day 17.
Beshishar to Kathmandu by bus
Day 18.
Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 19.
Departure from Kathmandu.
Day 20.
Arrival at own country.
